Set ten years after the events of Revenge of the Sith (2005). ______________ The hotly anticipated Star Wars series could be just a few months away. There’s no word on when Obi-Wan will drop on Disney Plus, but rumours suggest it will release in May. The series, which charts the adventures of Ewan McGregor’s Jedi Master in the unexplored years between Revenge of the Sith and A New Hope, hasn’t released any footage. The only snippet we’ve had so far is a very, very brief teaser with McGregor and director Deborah Chow talking about returning Anakin Skywalker actor Hayden Christensen. One of the stars of the Obi-Wan Kenobi Disney+ series claims fans will be blown away when its first trailer finally drops. The upcoming series will join the Star Wars slate of original programming on Disney+, which includes The Mandalorian, The Book of Boba Fett, Star Wars: The Bad Batch, and Star Wars: Visions. Fans have gotten to enjoy some of Obi-Wan's untold adventures in Marvel's Star Wars series by writer Jason Aaron. The live-action series will fill in the gaps between the prequel trilogy and the original trilogy that started with Star Wars: A New Hope. Ewan McGregor will be joined by Hayden Christensen, who is returning as the evil Sith lord Darth Vader. Disney+ confirmed Darth Vader's presence in Obi-Wan Kenobi back in December 2020. The rematch fans have been waiting for will finally take place. Obi-Wan isn’t the only major series coming to Disney Plus soon. Here’s what you need to know about The Mandalorian season 3. The Mandalorian season 3 could be out later this year according to a new report. The Book of Boba Fett may have even set up the next chapter of Din and Grogu's journey; in short, there's plenty to look forward to in the near future. A major plot point revolves around Grogu reuniting with Din. The Book of Boba Fett saw Baby Yoda caught at a crossroads between becoming a Jedi or staying with Papa Mando, though he chose the latter. It will be intriguing to see if the youngling has any second thoughts, or if Luke Skywalker will further factor into The Mandalorian.
